Who Am I?
Hello! My name is Larky White III. I was born and raised in Pahrump, NV, making me a fourth-generation Nevadan. I am a graphic designer and self-taught artist, and I have been drawing, imagining, and creating for as long as I can remember. Music, colors, fashion history, and comic books heavily inspire my work. I attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in graphic design and media. My goal is to harness and apply my talents to create work that makes the world a better and brighter place.

Artist Statement
Life is full of beauty, even in the absurd. Believe me when I say that art has the ability to heal people and act as a catalyst for change. Exploring the use of color, shape, and line as a tool to evoke emotion is my focus as an artist. Much thought goes into pairing specific colors together—to create a sense of nostalgia and happiness in a sometimes-unkind world. I make what I want to see. If art makes me happy, it has the capacity to influence others in the same way. Making art is a journey of experimentation because I don’t always know how to bring my ideas to life. The more I create, the better I become at creating. Practice makes perfect, but sometimes imperfections can create something new entirely. Everything in life doesn’t have to be high definition; perhaps we even value it more if it isn’t. Life isn’t perfect, and we shouldn’t expect it to be. We should embrace the grain and grit to remember who we are and what makes life memorable.
